Terms of use

This website describes what Chukwudaalu & Co. does, the terms on which the firm is engaged, and the mandates it declines. It is published so that an owner considering a sale can assess the firm before approaching it. Use of the site is subject to what follows.

The material here is not advice

What we publish is general information about this firm and about transactions in the Nigerian mid-market. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. It is not a valuation of any business and not an opinion on any transaction, and it is no substitute for advice given on the facts of a particular case. No figure, range or observation published here should be applied to a specific business without advice on that business.

No client relationship

Reading this site creates no client relationship, and neither does an approach to us. A relationship begins when the mandate acceptance committee has cleared the engagement and an engagement letter has been signed by both parties, and not before. Material sent to us before that point is held in confidence, and we do not disclose the fact of an approach; but it is not privileged, and we may already be acting on a matter that touches it.

No offer and no solicitation

Nothing on this site is an offer to buy or sell a security or an interest in a business, an invitation to make such an offer, or a solicitation of investment. We hold no principal capital and operate no lending, trading, research or investment business. Completed transactions are recorded at Transactions after completion and with the client's consent; that record is a statement of what the firm has done and is not an invitation to transact.

What we publish

Every publication carries the date of its issue and states the period and the sources to which its data relates. It is accurate as at that date on the information then available, and market data changes after publication. We do not revise a publication once it is issued. Where a correction is required we publish it as a separate note stating what changed and on what date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by [governing law], and [jurisdiction] has jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them. Both are to be settled with counsel.
